About Me

Since earning her degrees, Amanda has worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout the United States including: adult acute inpatient rehabilitation (Washington DC), outpatient pediatric rehabilitation (Washington DC), long-term care (South Boston, VA), public school settings (Houston, TX and Marin City, and Yuba City, California), early intervention (San Francisco), home health thru Easter Seals (Bay Area) and in private practice.

While greatly appreciating the experiences that each setting provided, Amanda discovered that she saw the most therapeutic gains and had the most fun when working closely with families of pediatrics. She started her own private practice in 2013 and has enjoyed all of its many iterations through the years from large bustling practice with many clinicians to a quiet therapy studio for one providing virtual sessions form home.

Connection through playfulness is Amanda’s core belief when working with students resulting in a high treatment success rate and happy customers. Amanda has specialized training in working with students with auditory processing disorders and dyslexia. She is certified in the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk Program as well as the Lidcombe Program for Childhood Stuttering.

Amanda's favorite games include Pop the Pig, Cariboo, Sleeping Queens, Mole Rats in Space, and all Peaceable Kingdom games. In her leisure time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two young sons and husband, coffee with friends, running & rowing, attempting Wordle & Duolingo, and traveling. Her favorite place is Buenos Aires.
